  2. I love your dog! Our dog is also called Max, but he is a cocker spaniel. And that is a beautiful Maple tree. Pity about the rain!

I always enjoy reading your blog in French first, and find it easy to follow. Sometimes I have to translate - did n't know the French for the Maple tree!

Is French your first language - being French Canadian?

  3. Hi Gilly,

Yes French is my first language and what we speak at home. However, I was an air force brat and air the force did not provide french schools in my time (they do now) and I had no choice but to learn English. I am not complaining, it is good to be bilingual in this country.

I am glad you enjoy reading my blog in French.

  6. Max would probably love to play with our schnauzer, Frasier :)

My favorite tree growing up was the maple next to the driveway. When I was young, it was a small tree, but over the years it grew and grew. When I left home, it was almost touching my window. Today, our house in London also has a Canadian maple tree, and it also covers the yard, and is the kids' favorite place to go and escape the sun.

I love how you view the world.
